A large mako shark jumps into a charter boat off the coast of Maine

It’s something the captain of Sea Ventures Charters has never seen before, a shark jumping on one of his charters. in St. George. At the end of August, the charter company published a video on board the FB Lady Anne. A Facebook post noted that it was a “beautiful day of shark fishing” and that two blue sharks had already been tagged and released when the Mako decided to take the bait. Sea Ventures Charters adds that everyone enjoyed the show out of the water when the shark decided to jump on board. No one was injured, including the shark which was tagged, measured and released.

Captain Dave Sinclair says they’ve been tagging sharks in the state of Maine for research since the early 1980s and doing charters since 1997 from a dock in St. George.
