New MTI 390X color palette inspired by the Breitling Caribbean Edition watch
Except for show-weary exhibitors, no one will be happier to see the Miami International Boat Show close this afternoon than longtime performance boat owner Joe Sabo. It’s not that Sabo, who lives in Cape Coral, Fla., has anything against boat shows — he’s been enjoying the Miami event all week. It’s just that his MTI 390X catamaran is locked at the Wentzville, Missouri company’s exhibit at the Miami Convention Center.

“I want to take it home and make it work,” Sabo said. “After that it goes to Shaun Torrente Racing. Shaun will set up his supports – they’re already on the floor in his store – and compose it. He absoutely knows how to do it.
“My first event will be the MTI owners meeting,” he added.
Powered by a pair of color-matched Mercury Racing 450R outboard motors, the 39-footer sports a color scheme inspired by Sabo’s Breitling Caribbean Edition watch. According to Sabo, only 200 of them were created by the famous Swiss-based watchmaker.
“All the colors came out of the watch, and I was a little nervous about the pastels,” he said. “But it just came out so beautiful. The MTI team couldn’t have been more helpful.
MTI Founder and Owner Randy Scism said, “We love when customers have fun inspiration and we can run with it for design. I don’t think we’ve ever done one like this before.
After Sabo gets a chance to run him, the 39-footer will go to Shaun Torrente Racing to connect.
