Recreate ‘Love Is Blind’ Getaway, Malibu Dates

MALIBU, Calif. – Ah, Malibu. What better place to fall in love?

The couples from Netflix’s beloved reality show “Love Is Blind” have traveled to Malibu for the new season’s romantic getaway. Malibu was the couples’ second stop on their journey to marriage, serving as their honeymoon getaway after getting engaged but never seeing each other.

Last season, the lucky couples flew to a resort in Mexico. This season, Malibu took center stage with jaw-dropping shots of the Malibu Coast, the Santa Monica Mountains and Calamigos Ranch.

After Malibu, the cast traveled to Nashville for a “real life” simulation at an apartment complex.

The rooms

The cast of leftover lovebirds were mostly filmed lounging in swanky, luxurious suites at Calamigos Ranch. The Ranch is a luxury resort and hotel that sits on 5,500 acres of the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu.

The couples apparently stayed in suites with 1 king bed, bathroom, kitchen, and private patio, which cost between $655 and $1,405 per night at Calamigos Ranch. Most rooms have outdoor showers and tubs, which increases the cost of the suite per night.

The couples arrived at a champagne and chocolate spread in their suites – an additional $190.

Along with spending time by the pool, beach and sipping drinks at the bar, the couples also embarked on a number of guided activities. Here’s how to recreate those dates

Looking to recreate Colleen and Matt’s boat trip? Book a private two-person catamaran with your suite for $700 for three hours. Want to take a surf lesson like Cole? A one-hour lesson with a professional costs an extra $250 on your bill.

Fancy a wine tasting? Recreate Nancy and Bartisse’s date at Cielo Farms located at 31424 Mulholland Hwy. For a more low-key experience, book a table for an additional $25 on Cielo Farms’ outdoor lawn with stunning mountain views. A more comprehensive wine tasting experience includes a 3-hour seated tasting experience, live music, and a menu of dishes for $125.

Raven and SK had a soothing couples massage during their stay, a $275 dating experience.

Good food and drink is an important part of a romantic getaway. The couples munched on delicious food, including the wood-fired pizzas enjoyed by Nancy and Bartisse at Cielo Farms. The wine tasting spot also serves salads and charcuterie boards.

Zanab enjoyed a mouth-watering charcuterie board while waiting for Cole to finish surfing, but Calamigos Ranch also has an on-site restaurant, Malibu Cafe. The café serves extravagant cocktails, salads, decadent starters and desserts.

And, of course, this season introduced the iconic “Love Is Blind” gold wine glasses. Find a dupe for mugs on Amazon.
