This course is for
Offshore racing crew, long-distance cruisers, any sailor wishing to improve their sailing skills. This course is also the first step for crew members of long-distance and international offshore races, long-distance cruise passengers or persons requiring the International Offshore certificate in accordance with World Sailing guidelines for personal safety (World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations Appendix G compliant).
Safety at sea: at sea (in person)
Typically, the in-person course covers 8-10 topics listed in Appendix G of OSRs, Assistance, Personal Safety Equipment, Safety Equipment Care and Maintenance, fire safety, crew at sea, exposure to cold, crew health, marine weather, weather, storm sails and reefing, damage control, search and rescue , signals, emergency communications and life rafts.

Sea Safety: Offshore (Online Course)
Covers the 15 topics of assistance, personal safety equipment, care and maintenance of safety equipment, fire safety, crew overboard, exposure to cold, crew health, marine weather, heavy weather, storm sails and reefing, damage control, search and rescue, signals, emergency communications and life rafts. This is the most comprehensive training in preparation for the practical course required for the International Offshore Certificate (in accordance with Appendix G of the World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations).
