Seastreak resumes NYC service with 600-passenger fast ferry
(February 24, 2022) Seastreak will resume fast ferry service from New York to Nantucket this summer with an all-new boat, the 157-foot, 600-passenger Brave.
The high-speed catamaran, the largest currently in service in the United States, will make a weekend round trip from New York to the island, with a stopover in Martha’s Vineyard.
The trip to Nantucket takes approximately six and a half hours, departing New York at 4 p.m. on Friday and arriving on the island at 10:15 p.m. The return trip departs Nantucket at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and arrives in New York around 9:15 p.m. The boat calls at New Bedford over the weekend.
Service will begin on Memorial Day weekend, then take a two-week break before Labor Day, Seastreak vice president of sales and marketing James Barker said.
