Sunreef Sailing Catamaran 140 has a foldable and accessible beach club – Robb Report

Sunreef’s fleet of luxury catamarans has just grown a bit and got a bit more innovative.

The relatively new Polish shipyard, which was founded in 2002, has continuously produced new models to meet the growing appetite for high-design multihulls. The latest to join the Sunreef family is a new sailboat known simply as the Sunreef 140.

As the name suggests, the latest addition spans just under 140 feet and is what the shipyard describes as a “super catamaran”. In other words, it combines the sleek silhouette and clean lines of a classic cat with the comfort and size of a superyacht. It also has a new feature on the back that sets it apart from its predecessors.

The new super catamaran stretches just under 140 feet.

Like the other six models in the Sunreef sail range, the new Sunreef 140 is fitted with rigging that harnesses the wind to supplement propulsion and improve efficiency while reducing emissions. Fully customizable, it can be fitted with traditional diesel engines or electric motors. Opt for the latter and you can also add Sunreef’s proprietary solar power system which works to power the ship’s equipment with zero emissions energy.

According to the yard, one of the yacht’s most notable features is the aft cockpit. In addition to a living and dining area for outdoor entertaining, she sports a nifty folding platform that connects the two separate hulls. This, in turn, creates an expansive beach club which is outfitted with lounge chairs, a diving platform, and anything the new owner could wish for.

The wrap-around beach club flows into a gym and storage room.

The beach club leads to a gym that promises workouts with ocean views and storage space for snorkel gear and water toys. Below the aft cockpit there is a large garage which offers space for two large jet skis, as well as a refueling station and launch system. The flybridge, on the other hand, is equipped with a bar, a dining table and a spa flanked by sunbeds.

As for the interior, it can accommodate up to 12 people. The highlight is the full-width owner’s suite which offers panoramic views as well as private access to the spa and living room on the front patio. Great cat, indeed.
